Dr. Julie Sugar
Dr. Julie Sugar is a board-certified pediatric dentist and the daughter of Dr. Nancy! Just like her mom, Dr. Sugar is passionate about providing the best children’s dental care possible to patients in the Stuart and Palm City, Fl areas. Dr. Sugar feels so fortunate that she is able to join Dr. Nancy at the office that first inspired her to pursue her passion for pediatric dentistry.
Dr. Sugar received her bachelor’s degree in food science and human nutrition from the University of Florida. She went on to complete her professional education at Nova Southeastern University. During her fourth year of dental school, she was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Epsilon honorary dental society, which only accepts the top 10 students from each graduating class. Accepted into one of the country’s top pediatric dental specialty programs at Miami Children’s Hospital, Dr. Sugar served as Chief Resident and graduated with a specialty in pediatric dentistry, receiving training in children’s sedation dentistry and dental care for children with special needs.
In her spare time, Dr Sugar enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 children: her twins Sienna and Ronan, and Remy. Dr Sugar also loves trying new restaurants, traveling, staying active, and cheering for the Gators!

Dr. Nancy torres
Dr. Nancy H. Torres, also known as “Dr. Nancy” in the community, is the founding dentist of Children’s Dentistry of Stuart. She is proud to be able to keep the kids of her practice’s neighboring community smiling healthily and happily for over 30 years!
Born in New Jersey and of Colombian heritage, Dr. Nancy received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Colombian College of Dentistry. As a prerequisite for graduation, Dr. Nancy worked in a rural village for one year, where she discovered that working with children was the most fulfilling part of her young career. With a new passion for early dental care, she then moved back to the US and completed a two-year residency program in pediatric dentistry at Emory University and Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital in Atlanta. After completing her postgraduate studies, Dr. Nancy worked for three years as Chief of Pediatric Dentistry at Jackson memorial Hospital, the largest hospital in the Miami area. Then in 1989, she moved to Martin County to open her private practice, Children’s Dentistry of Stuart, P.A.
