Preventing Sugar Bugs
Exam- We recommend an oral examination every 6 months to help prevent or catch any cavities forming. During your exam the Doctor will discuss with you and your child the proper techniques to brushing and flossing.
Digital Tooth Pictures- Digital x-rays are used to help us detect any sugar bugs that our eyes may not see. Cavities can form in as little as 48 hours therefore we prefer to take x-rays every 6 months.
Cleaning- Regular cleanings help keep the sugar bugs away and the gums healthy! We have an assortment of toothpaste flavors to choose from.
Fluoride (tooth vitamins)- Fluoride helps strengthen your teeth and prevent decay.
Sealants- Sealants help protect the deep and groovy teeth from cavities. The sealants material fills the grooves and “seals” off the tooth from food.

Crowns
Extractions
Space Maintainers
Tooth-Colored Fillings
For all treatment we offer Oraverse and buffering along with numbing. Buffering is used with the lidocaine and it “buffers” the sting, making the lidocaine painless! We don’t use the word shot but instead sleepy juice or gel. Oraverse reverses the numbing therefore cutting the numb time down from a few hours to about 45 min after the visit. This helps the patient to feel more comfortable and helps prevent them from chewing on their cheeks.

Lights Out Sugar Bugs
At Children’s Dentistry of Stuart we make it our #1 priority to give your child a great dental experience. We understand that some children may be more anxious or may find it difficult to sit still for an extended period of time. This is why we offer a range of options that may be beneficial for your child such as:
Nitrous Oxide (also known as funny gas) it a mild inhaled sedative that helps your child relax
Oral Sedation is a prescription medication that we administer in the office. The medication makes the child relaxed and slightly drowsy so they are more comfortable during their dental procedure. This is a wonderful option for the anxious patient and the little ones who have extensive dental needs
IV sedation is the highest level of sedation we provide. It is anesthesia administered by a Pediatric Anesthesiologist here in the office. This will allow your child to sleep soundly through the procedure. We have partnered with PDAA who are a well-respected group of pediatric anesthesiologists to administer the anesthesia safely and effectively. For more information: https://pediatricsedation.com
